There have been a lot of poor reviews about this place, and some are justified. They really mean it when they ask for a passport or ID and the rather difficult receptionist did not agree that my senior bus pass, acceptable all over England and by Fly-be, was good enough for them! Did not want the booking code at all, surely a better proof that I was me! The room was very small with 3 sets of bunks crammed into a single- size room, mattress very lumpy, but it was clean, as was the bedding. No lockers, but things could be stored in the basement near the office, on request. Shower doors did not close so floor of the narrow room always needed mopping! There were no hooks to hang up one's towel and dressing gown. Only 3 showers, and 3 lavatory's for 4 rooms of 6-8 women. This hostel freely admits that it relies on it's city central position to get visitors!
The place was diryt, unsanitary, showers were shared for women and men, with seethrue doors. The sheets were dirty, the floor was dirty. The bed was given out wrongly so I got a bed someone else had and I had to swap. There were no electrip power output so you can charge your phone. No lockers for your bags. It was free wifi but only in the restaurant in the basement.
Cheap little place in the city centre. Great location! Customer service was ok. No major issues. Great option to leave your luggage at the reception where they mind it for you. No lockers in the rooms.
Shower, terrible smell. Very old and not the best hygien. WIFI works good, but not in
the rooms. Location is perfect, really downtown London.
Service was good, very helpful and polite.
Beds was the wurst experience.
